It has been hot so progress has been slow. Couple hours most nights with a couple of nights off. Today is the push and it is gonna be back on the ground.

First bits from last night.

Getting closer. So here is what I have left:

- mount tires and set truck back down
- torque down the 4 lower control arm bolts
- adjust toe
- take to the shop for alignment on Tuesday
-FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has just been so hot I only do the work in little spurts. Still not a regret in the world doing it myself. It has been a blast.

Here is where she sits right now.

First phase final - I have the truck back on the ground the toe adjusted. Tuesday it goes for its full alignment. Hard not to drive it yet, but I am going to wait for the alignment and simply drive it there. My spacers are coming Thursday so I will have some more pics, especially front and back, to take and post then. Here is what it looks like now. I don't think it could have turned out better as for the look and function I was going for.

Looks great. So it looks like wheel spacers are not mandatory with the bds kit with stock wheels? Can you post the measurements from center of the hub to the fender front and back?

To be honest it was just too hot. I put the tires on, lowered it and torqued the lower control arms. In the next day or so I'll post measurements and more details. Wheels look to have plenty of space though.

So here is pic of the clearance. Not bad. I still am putting the 1.5" Bora spacers on, but there is plenty of room. I turned it lock-to-lock and checked both sides at both positions and there is no problem with the stock 18's and clearance.

I am taking it tomorrow to get an actual alignment done (already adjusted in the driveway and both Toe and Camber are just about spot on). I need them to also weld a plate in that comes with BDS 4" kits though as well so why not? The truck can be driven without it (as per the instructions) but it adds a bit of extra support to the front differential. I did, however, drive it around a bit today just to shake it loose and settle the suspension. It rides very nice and I can tell no difference from before as far as quality reduction. Here are the settled numbers.

Measurements are as follows:

Front -
ground to wheel well - 42.25
center wheel to wheel well - 26.25

Rear-
ground to wheel well - 42.5
center wheel to wheel well - 26.5

If you are going to run with spacers I would wait till they are on to do alignment.

So, I took it off-road (mostly dry) today and bounced it around a bit. Rides really nice. I also took it up to 85 (closed course ) and it rides smooth t speed too.

are rear shocks upside down, or are these supposed to go rod up. seems to me rod down to keep crud from seeping down in to the seals?
