Default Lightforce lights and nfab light bar....pics and question

Hey....I have 4 lightforce lights...hooked up with relays, etc.
Right now, the power to flip the relays comes from the battery.....so I could use the lights at anytime.

I want to move that to switched ignition wire so the lights don't get left on by accident (son just starting to drive)

Where is the best place to draw switched ignition power

Thanks!

Light bar is nfab
Middle lights are 170's. added the diffused lens
Outside are 140's

Had just two 170's on my last truck....very bright...these are wild, but not tuned in yet...to darn cold here...when dialled in will post pics of on and off.....

Ignition wire=white/orange wire at main ignition harness under dash coming from steering column. Wire is in the black 7 pin plug in pin location #1.

You already have everything run through the firewall from the looks of your switch location. Just use this wire to feed the switches.

Buck, thanks for the response and great links....actually I left my power wire that flips the relays under my engine as I drew the power from the battery for it....would be a real real hassle to get it through the firewall to this spot.....
Buck, or anyone else, do you know where I can draw safe switched power from under the hood?
Many thanks...

I can't help on an exact wire for your source under the hood. All of the databases I have access to just show what's needed in the cab.

You could try finding a switched source at the fuse box with a test light. Find a fuse that only comes on with the key and put a fuse tap on it. Keep in mind that as long as you are using relays to carry the load you should be fine using any fuse that switches with the key.

Best of luck.....

Buck
