Yeah, mine is smooth as glass. Had a bad tank of gas once that caused some rougher idling, but ran that tank all the way out, then filled it up with premium. Voila, no more rough idle.

Hey everyone!

I'm Crystal; I'm helping out on the forum while Ashley is out of office. I've already chatted with a few of you via PM, but if you are experiencing this concern and we haven't been in touch yet, shoot me a PM with your information so I can check out some options to assist. I'll need your VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, and full name to get the ball rolling.

Crystal

I pulled my plugs yesterday. One was 0.051 and the other 7 were ~0.055-0.058. Regapped all to 0.045 and the idle is much improved and part throttle under load is better as well. It didn't take me 30min... Build date was 6/29/11.

I had the same experience with my plugs. Only one was in spec at 0.047. All the others were at 0.055. I too took them down to 0.045. It idles much better, but not smooth like glass.

I did check one of my plugs over the weekend and it was gapped to maximum specs per the manual I might try regapping them when I get the time to see how it acts

Mine does this also, just barely noticeable and doesn't cause any issue. I attribute it to Ford using the variable valve timing to reduce pumping losses during idle which might cause unequal power from each power stoke so it shakes a touch. Basically it running like is has a "big cam" at idle
