Ok got the package in and it's just as I suspected, it's an extension cable that allows you to move the rms module from the dash up into the headliner.

Ford calls it a module probably to justify charging $30 for it and some cable ties, going thru the instructions it will have you drop down the entire headliner to glue the module to it then route the cable down to the tpms module where it plugs in.

Couple pics....

There is no way in hell I'm going to drop the headliner, should be able to fish the module up in there from the windshield edge as I have done before with my 2 channel dash cam system cables.

I'll post pics of the actual install soon.

Is there any indicators on the kit or instructions that would make it compatible with a 2011?

Its just a Extension Cable, it will work on all 100 Series R.S., I garuntee!

The idea is to get the Antenna Higher Up, which is Always a good thing! Stupid, that Ford didnt make the cable 6-7' to begin with. So the Antenna could be place in the Headliner, for better coverage....

Makes me glad, that when I bought my 100 series. I spliced the antenna cable with 14g speaker wire to place my antenna above the p.s. visor in the headliner! Guess thats why I seem to get better range with my 100 Series, than most op. Noway Id spend $30 on that ext. cable.

No but the same remote start fits all trucks 2011-2014. Here are the instruction sheets less page 5 which is an oversized template that you would unfold onto the headliner so you know where to glue everything. If one were going to do it as they would at the dealer.

I wouldn't splice a coax cable due to the lack of shielding using regular wires, other systems could cause issues with operation and/or range which this longer coax cable is designed to fix.

To many variables with all the electronics on board.

Ok, just finished installing the longer cable and new placement of the antenna module, took about 15 mins.

Follow the instructions above to locate the module above the glove box as well as how to remove the A pillar trim panel.

1st of all the antenna itself is enclosed in a plastic case that aids in mounting it so for this we will discard the case.

You will notice the plastic lock clips along it's side, use a small screw driver or pick tool to unlock the tabs to expose the antenna.

Remove the antenna from the case, it lifts straight out with no force.

Plug the new cable into the antenna and tuck it under the headliner in front of the passenger visor with the cable connector facing forward and the connector shell to go towards the roof with the circuit board down on the headliner.

You can leave it in the case if you like but when you slide it under the headliner it may bulge a little.

Run the cable down along the A pillar and be sure to follow the existing wire harness behind that large white plastic part, that's the A pillar curtain air bag, if you run the wire on the other side and get in a wreck it may interfere with the deployment of the curtain which is not good. Pay no attention to that 2nd cable, that's my dash cam cable.

Use some of the cable ties that came with the kit to keep it attached to the harness already present.

Down inside the dash @ the tpms module I found it easier to unplug the large top cable to be able to remove/install the antenna cable.

Once you have the rms antenna cable plugged in be sure to plug in the other connector or you will get a warning light on your dash for the tire pressure system.

Reinstall trim panels and done. Now you have an extra few hundred bucks to go buy that wanted mod.

I'm not ordering mine... I'm calling my dealer up to schedule my appointment to fix this under warranty.
