Requires you to plug in two cables, use three zip ties, cycle the key on-off a couple of times and then call the dealer you bough it from to activate it.

Here are the instructions: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3...WpmUDMxNUFpa3c

Okay I am intrigued. I'm guessing with the sim card there is a monthly fee? How much was the entire unit?

https://my.fordremoteaccess.com/FAQs

Cost of the required devices vary dealer to dealer, got mine from a local dealers ebay shop. https://www.ebay.com/itm/11-14-Ford-...item33db1b7e47

Best price any where at the time. Kit has everything you need.

Price of the VSS, mobile connect units plus $50/year.

I opted for the two way instead, but only due to the fact that I work in the middle of nowhere and have zero cell reception where I park the truck.

One other benefit of the system is it will send you a text message or an email, however you set it for in the event of the perimeter alarm being triggered, plenty of time to catch someone screwing with your ride. Gun carry is optional.

You get all that for $0.13/day.

My friend isn't on here, even after many attempts. He just traded or I should say totaled his 2013 white fx4 and picked up a 2017 Limited 5.0. Rare find I thought. Especially with a 5.0...
Anyways as I was looking at it yesterday he was telling me about the ability to start it with his cell phone. I didn't have the heart to tell him, he could've been using his phone on the 2013 as well all this time.

I think I may try an alternative. I can get the extended range key fob for cheap, same cost as the antenna kit. I am going to program it and see if that helps the range.
