2012 Svt Raptor Dealers Mark up Fees!
Well We've decided to trade my shelby for a new 2012 raptor still keeping my Fx4, zoo I went to my local dealer today they had one MSRP 55k dealer make up fee 7,500! :o, so I bought they were crazy for doing that so I called a dealer 15 minutes away from me they say they can't get one till next year WTH!, I call a dealer 2 hours away from me they have the same truck fully loaded race red sueprcrew, 56k msrp plus 2,500 dealer mark up. whats going on!!! with the dealer mark ups arnt they making enough raptors or what when i bought the shelby the only mark up i paid was gas guzzler and it was the first 2010 in my country. I think I'm going for the 2,500 dealer mark up because its the cheapest I've found but I still think its there worse deal ever first you can negotiate the raptor next you pay extra 2,500 to buy it WTH is this. but anyways I want it bad so i might.

Keep looking around, you'll find one willing to work with you. That's a bunch of BS about asking a premium since, if you're willing to wait a little, you can order one. The dealer I just bought my HD from doesn't mark up their Raptors and they will most likely discount it some.

@LPMM yeah good advice, I just don't want to have to pay extra for nothing you know.. I might as well just spend that on new tires or something other than just giving it away to have one of the first raptors. altought they say something went wrong and theres only very little svt's being made. but that could be dealer BS just so I pay them the 7500 dealer mark up fee!. I think ill just wait.

Svt raptors are given to dealers in allotments high volume svt dealers get more of them. Smaller ones get less and they are in time frames so small dealer you may have to wait along time. Find a large dealer that has a lot of allocations you will have better luck.

Dealers often ask huge mark-ups on "specialty" vehicles, but they rarely get them...
Plenty of people were getting Raptors at a $200-$1,000 over invoice (not sticker, invoice) last year, and with a fundamentally unchanged product for 2012, I don't see 2012 being any different. It does seem that 2012 production is a bit thin right now. I was at the biggest dealer in my area, usually has a huge supply of 150's, and they had about half their usually number.
Advice: Don't waste a second of your time discussing price with anybody but the general sales manager or internet sales manager. Not the chump who says he is the acting sales manager, the actual guy. And definitely not the sales droid waiting out front for his next "up".
Also, if you go over to the Raptor forums, there is a sales guy that is pretty popular for getting lots of Raptors and giving no BS great pricing on them. Fly/Drive or have it shipped. It will still be way less than paying some local dealer a ridiculous price.
