Hey guys, resurrecting this old thread with a couple questions. I'm about to install a sub and amp. I am doing all the wiring and install myself. Is there any benefit to running your ground directly to the battery, or is it just as good to mount somewhere close to the amp, on the back wall for example like someone in this thread did?

Do any of you recall what length of cable is required from the battery to the back wall of an screw? I have a 1500 watt inverter I'd like to mount next to the sub for occasional use. Im thinking i'll go with 4AWG.

Your ground wire should be as short as possible. Most amp kits come with 17ft of primary wire. That should be plenty. check out www.knukonceptz.com for good, inexpensive wiring

Ok great that makes things easy. What's the best way to splice into the rear speaker wires? I'm using an LC2i since the PAC isn't compatible with my truck. I know some people use those T clamp things but they aren't the most reliable from what I've read.

Unless you want to cut the wires and splice into them, the T-Taps are pretty much the only way. Ive never seen one fail but it might be a good idea to put them someplace easily accessible. Ill be using them this spring when I get into my build

On the other side, I love my fox box. I have mine loaded with 2 alpine type S's and it slams.

Hello,
just joined the site, bought a 2010 FX4 4 door i think you all call it a screw. trying to transfer my stereo equipment over from my other vehicle. my box will not work in truck. i have been trying to get the dimensions by looking at the fox web site and measuring under the back seat. would you happen to know the width and depth, and the height at the back and front. from my guesstimation . its 54'' wide 12'' deep and back height 5'' and front height 12'' is this close?
