Yeah, I thought it looked a lot like my 09 lariat....probably a little different?

I might be changing my light wood out with this. The light wood just looks super ikea fake.

Anything would be better than the blond of the '11. Truly awful. Made the fake wood in my '03 F250 look luxurious. Personally, if I was going to change out the trim in my Lariat, I'd go for the black trim from the FX4. Cant say I much like crappy fake wood in my otherwise terrific real truck.

Desert Dawg replaced his XLT interior trim with the FX4 trim so it can be done

I don't mind the light wood trim color. I would prefer something more realistic, though. Changing the color isn't going to help that.

I like the new color! But!!! .. the rest of the interior is a hodgepodge with tan, gray, and black along with the wood grain. When I bought my 2011 I crossed the Lariat off of my list because of the hideous wood trim color.

I scrolled across the red piping on the FX appearance package. I LOVE black on red accents. might have to change out the leather!

Default 2012 F-150 Lariat

New to the F150 forum.

I Ordered Mine 9/10/2011
I added the trailer Brake Control after the initial order.
Paid quite a bit less than the MSRP shown .

Dark or light, plastic is plastic. Time for some real wood, Burled Walnut maybe!

I agree w PawPaw. Blonde/red/dark - it's all fake wood. But, I bet we all agree that it does look significantly better than a solid, bland piece of plastic. I'm probably in the minority, but I really like the blonde wood. It's much better than the reddish-toned wood in the 2009-2010 models. I admit the new darker brown wood is perhaps the nicest on its own, but it does seem to fight more with the combination of colors in the rest of the cockpit.

Now real wood, that's a thought... I'd like to see African Zircote, or a perhaps a highly figured rosewood. Not the least bit practical, but man would it look good.

You Louisianna boys might wake up one morning w/ termites in your dash!!!?
