King Ranch is an option as well for it.
Thats true, I never thought of that when I was talking to him. I'll mention it next time I talk to him.

He could just get two tone Lariat 6.2, which is available, and add king ranch seats.

Or buy a king ranch 5.0, add a blower for about the same price as 6.2 upgrade, make more power too.

Size does matter as much anymore, boost levels the playing field.

Yeah I agree, it would create some additional issues to switch out the steering system.

Why Ford doesn't offer it to begin with is beyond me. Since we're just talking about a trim package, there's no added build complexity at the factory for putting a 6.2L under the hood compared to any of the other engine choices. What you're up against are marketing geniuses who can't fathom that someone may just want to order a vehicle with that engine. I HIGHLY doubt it is an engineering issue.
I think that if Ford offered the 6.2 in the King Ranch then lots of people would have one. Its don't think its an engineering issue either because its just a different trim level, I think there is nothing mechanically different between a truck with a 5.0 and a truck with a 6.2 besides the electric vs hydraulic streeing system. Maybe those marketing wizards thought that the 5.0's sales numbers would suffer if the 6.2 was offered in more trims...they are probably right.

This one was of the first things I suggested, get a 5.0 and supercharge it with a good tune and a nice exhaust, he didn't seem to like that idea

That was my first thought. But the more I thought about it, it wouldn't be so easy. He'd need badging and wheels, as well as a new dash that has the King Ranch leather on it and the rest of the paneling. Plus floor mats. He'd basically need to swap out the entire interior. And if he had a two tone with tan on bottom, he'd need to swap out the bedrail caps from black to tan.

I'm really surprised they don't just offer the King Ranch with a 6.2. Perhaps that would cut into the Platinum's sales.

2 different 6.2's. The super duty 6.2 has less hp/tq than what comes in the F150's
