Default 2012 FX4 Factory Rebates changing 8/3/2012?

Hello everyone

First post, but I have been in the market for a 2012 FX4 for a couple of months, and have gotten a lot of great advice reading these forums. I was just told by my dealer that the factory rebates are changing 8/3. Does anyone have any insight as to what these changes could be, or is he just blowing smoke? Do details of new incentives ever leak before their actual effective date?

Thanks for any help guys!

usually no they don't leak. They do change on the 3rd so stay tuned. If you are buying a 2012 not a bad idea to see what is coming.

I don't know if this helps but, the piece of paper that my dealer printed out for me has this info:

#11910 $1 (2012 Sirius Base Program)
#12112 $500 (F-150 5.0L Retail bonus Customer Cash) Exp Oct 1 2012
#12150 $2000 (Retail Customer Cash) Exp Oct 1 2012
#12152 $1000 (Ford Credit Retail Bonus Customer Cash) Exp Oct 1 2012
#34050 $750 (Retail Trade-in Assistance Bonus Customer Cash) Exp Oct 1 2012

This was printed on July 10 2012.

There should be another $1000 rebate floating around somewhere. I got a total of $5250 on my 12' yesterday.

Small world, I'm actually in Orange Park.

wait, nevermind. The extra $1000 was an XLT rebate.

Appreciate the responses guys.

These rebates are where they are now, and are apparently changing this Friday, hopefully for the better.

Yeah they should be. Father works at WHQ, and in the finance group, and I got my truck today. He said they were releasing new rebates today, and did find out what they were, but I did a lease so it didn't help me since those didn't change. I can say for sure there are changes, but didn't find out what exactly they were. Still got the good ol' A-Plan price though!

Good luck with the FX4, loving mine so far.

Dammit. I've been waiting a few months to buy a new truck and I could've possibly saved a few bucks by waiting a couple days.

same here, Just waiting for the exact best time to buy a 12'. The "mega dealers" around me ALL loaded up with 2012 f150's and have a ton on the way. They all usually have 20-30 in stock and 2 of them are getting over the 50 truck mark! One has 3 2012 fx4's on the lot and 5 more on the way! I'm looking for a mid level FX4 and one dealer has a Blue Flame Scab 5.0 with the Plus package, rear camera, and brake controller that showing up in a few weeks. Exactly the truck I would have ordered!
