Right now i have Grapevine offering me $29998 TTL included. OTD.

Their truck comes with limited dif rear axle (+$400) rather than the regular axle, keypad entry (+$75) and they offer the southwest promise of a lifetime guarantee on the engine + a whole bunch of tire rotations and oil changes for the first 2 years.

.

It took about two weeks for my coupon to show up. If you ordered the coupon, they should be able to look it up in the system. That seems a tad high for a XLT 3.7 Screw. I will build out one like that and let you know what I think.

What ever you do, don't let them know you have to have it this weekend, they will see the blood in the water if you do. I would rent a truck this weekend, because you can probably save a lot if you can slide just past this big weekend sale they have, plus the new incentives might be a little better.

But..

What is the VIN?
On the description you gave me.
2012 XLT Screw 5.5 Box 3.7 engine
(3.7's come with the 3.73 limited slip, by default and
don't charge $400 for it, as on other models)
$33,786

Secure Code Keyless Entry $75

Total base MSRP (BlueLine = $33,861)
Are you sure you don't want the V8, it would only be $100
more, based on the $500 rebate available for it?

If you use their high rate ford financing, you should get
$5250 in rebates (including the $750 coupon)

So Blueline = 33,861
Invoice = 31361
Subtract Rebates = $26,111
Subtract about $750 below invoice (You should be able to get this)
$25,361

So your dealer added FX package, and tires flips are wanting basically $5k
for it. That's a lot.

I appreciate the reply Elbo. I would like to have the truck by the weekend but I by no means have to have it. If i don't get the price i'm looking for i will walk. I've been in grapevine 3 times. Walked out 3 times. The guy literally said he cant sell it to me for less than $29998 TTL included whilst also saying he would beat anyone's price. Sam pack rang yesterday and beat his price so one way or the other he's got it wrong I know his price is BS as does everyone else. I just laughed and said fair enough, you clearly don't want to sell it that bad. Its been on the lot for 25 days.

I don't want the V8 as from what I have read the 3.7 does a bit better MPG and i'm unlikely to be towing anytime soon, even if i do tow it would be a bike on a trailer, nothing heavy.

I have built it on ford for $34,395 (see link)

http://bp3.ford.com/2012-Ford-F-150?...ItYours/Config[|Ford|F-150|2012|1|1.|507A.W1C..YZ...NONFLEET.U31.446.SS5. 99M.X26.CCAB.RWD.XLT.86C.]

The Vin number and link for the one in grapevine is below. They have it stickered at $36,090 which appears to be atleast $1500 above what it should be anyway. Presumably your total of $25,361 is without TTL? With that included i'm looking at $27000 OTD I guess. Right now the dealerships are $2500 away from that.

VIN #: 1FTEW1CM8CFC54985
http://grapevineford.net/DFW/For-Sal...ruck/10427780/

After the weekend it will be a new month, will that affect price or are they just desperate to get rid of the 2012s before the 2013's come in and it doesn't matter when now?

Thanks again Elbo.

Blud that's cool they have a color code pack for the XLT, I did not realize they had that. If I go XLT route, I would want that.

Based on the Grapevine truck,

Blueline 36090

I get invoice 32,788 incl destination (re: Edmunds)

Subtract Rebates incl coupon of $5250

Gets you to $27,538

Take another $750 off invoice, dealer should be able
to do this.

That gets you to. $26,788

That's not quite $10,000 off, I think the deal is completely reasonable and do able.

I would go ahead and do a email blast to some dealers. Someone will bite,
get your best deal and take it back to your locals.

I still think they will be more motivated next month despite it being the last day of the month now, I think with the 2013's starting to show up on the lots, it will be a bigger push, plus the incentives might get better, will find out in a couple of days.

I'm trying to find a truck with a 6.5 bed, not many too choose from.

Good luck

Yeah, i'm really not a huge fan of the chrome but cant afford the jump up to a real FX so the XLT with 'Custom package' is perfect for me. I also prefer the 'Steel Gray' interior which is actually black in all honesty.

Just to clarify, the total of $26,788 you are saying is with or without TTL? I'm assuming it is without so I am looking at roughly $28,500?

I left the dealership the other day after 2 hours of bartering back and forth with this piece of paper. Just to give you an idea of what they think they are doing..

What i do find interesting is that the 'Market Value' is $36,840 yet the sticker says MSRP of $36,090.. Add in the fact the truck at Sampack has the exact same features + the keyless entry and has a sticker of $35,640. It is in white but i think i prefer the white to the Gray anyway. . Whats your colour of choice?

1) The Real Market Value, is just B/S. These trucks are not selling for more than MSRP, except for a few morons.

2) Don't waste your time at the dealership, they get paid to be there, they will do their best I swear to suck the life out of you and your time. Do it all by email now that you know what kind of truck you want.

3) Sam Pack might be better way to go, seems that they were reviewed by another member in this thread or another as being pretty cooperative.

4) I still think you could probably get a FX for $30k

5) Yes, I was talking before TTL, I don't like it when people put those numbers out there, it doesn't mean much, as that stuff is affected by a lot of different variables. Talking price is best.

6) I would prefer a Black or White one, with a black interior.

7) Get your coupon added in there, that would bring your rebate up to $5250

Hi Elbo,

I guess I talk with TTL included because that helps me think more clearly about the final price its costing me. I'm from the UK and its illegal to advertise a price without Tax included so this country is pretty strange to me on that front!

The Guy at Grapevine I was working with kept trying to convince me that the OTD price didn't matter so long as i got my monthly payments figured out. I actually said to him , 'do you think i have some kind of mathematical disability?', thats the stupidest thing i have ever heard. In the end I left and said make the OTD price smaller or we ain't doing business.

SamPack have been more laid back, they started out lower than Grapevine and don't appear to be talking too much BS. Southwest out in Weatherford are also putting forward a decent price too with a few nice incentives like oil changes etc, the only problem being they are a 45 minute drive for me.

Right now i'm looking at $29k with TTL included.

$30k for an FX is nice but then add on TTL and its up at $32k and add in the poorer MPG and it just doesnt make it worth it for me. I'm already at my limit according to my wife

Sam Pack awesome. Very easy to deal with. Had a great purchasing experience in Lewisville on my XLT. Ended up at $6250 under invoice ( that includes the rebates). Actual $500 under + $5750 in rebates. Very quick and easy and that in itself is worth something. Check out Jerry Reynolds Car Pro web site too.
