Someone keyed my truck and it went across the tail light by a couple inches.

Rock auto has 2012 fx2 tails, it looks the same as mine. I just wanna make sure before I drop $300.

Also, would I be able to fill the gouged area on the tail light with clear nail polish and buff it out?

It starts in the arch for the wheelwell and goes onto the tail light.


I'm not happy about it. I'm guessing it's gonna be $600 for paint, tail light and sticker.

I'm not filing a claim thru my insurance, it'd be pretty close in price and they'd raise my rates next year.

 

They should be. The earlier years were sterling gray.

You're crazy for spending $300 on tails. You can buy an oem pair of fx's for $125

 

I think it's more ignorance. I tie my own shoes in the morning.

Can you please tell me where I can get a pair of tails for half what I'm gonna pay for one?

 

I got mine from a Ford dealer on eBay. I think they're like $120 on there lol, new genuine Ford parts.

 

eBay. There's a few pairs on there now from dealers.

Found them, thank you. They're raptor ones and look black as opposed to sterling gray.

 

The 2012+ are black. Raptor, fx, and Harley all run the same tails. I think it was the earlier years that were gray.

 

Even if they're different, I'm sure it's not that noticeable. If it is, it'll flow a little better with all the black.
