We both fly them. We actually build them. They run around 800-1500 dollars to build. Definitely not what I would call toys. But you can get a toy one for around 100 bucks. I have three of them. My largest one has gps and can go about 3 miles before a battery change is needed. They also have FPV cameras on them with a video downlink so that we can see what the quad is seeing.
