Also interested in the light output over the 11-12 factory lights. Any before and after pictures anyone?

No need, the halogens don't hold a match to the hids!

Personally, quality (overall fit) is second to none... they are OEM and much better than any retrofit. However, light pattern of the OEM is not as good as others retrofitting with Lexus or other projectors. The OEM is also using D3s bulbs, which are more environmentally friendly... but are not as bright as the D1 bulbs. So... a bit of a trade off.

I went OEM because I like the look and don't have time to do the retrofit work... I actually bought a Raptor black headlight wanting to retrofit but it sat in my garage for over a month and then decided to go OEM and sell the raptor headlights. Price for retrofit and OEM is about the same (if you have someone else do the retrofit for you).

As for is the HID upgrade worth it over Halogen... Yes it is! I drove up to SJ from LA a few weeks ago and with the halogen on Hwy152... I can't see well at all. Had to depend on other car's headlight. The stock OEM Halogen sucks.

You also could do both. I just got a set of oem hids custom painted with EVO-x R projectors and morimoto 5five ballasts D2s.
IMO if your looking for performance go with a retrofit.
But the stock hid housings I think look better and a better finish. the projectors and bulb type just aren't that great.

Can someone tell me who has the highest quality relay/adapter thing here on the forum? I got some oem HID's I want to install but I have gotten mixed reviews on some of the kits that have gone out in the past. Inbox me if you have any suggestions. Thanks y'all.

I bought some OEM HIDs from ebay for 225 shipped.. yah you read that right. Im going to bake them, paint them black with red accents, and put them back together. I heard another member on here used D2S bulbs and ballasts from ebay for 30$ and made his lights work without the crazy costs of OEM bulbs, retainers, ballasts and the adapter cable!! even if I buy Tuxs 300$ kit to get these lights working with OEM parts, that's still one off custom OEM HIDS for 525

Hey guys,

If you install these in a 2009-2012, (or in my case a 2013 xlt) can you use the auto on the headlight switch or do you have to turn them on manually? I found a pretty good deal on a set and I think they look amazing compared to the stock halogen and I was just curious. Thanks for your help
