2012 F150 FX4 - Ford Remote Start and Climate Control of Heated/Cooled Seats
I have a 2012 F150 FX4 with nav, leather seats which are heated and cooled. Recently I had my Ford dealer install the 4 keyfob remote start system into my truck.
I can see all options in the message center menu relating to remote start except for the individual control for the heated and cooled seats under the climate control menu within the remote start menu. Basically it just lets you put it into "Auto" or "Off". I did find a video on youtube that clearly show these two menu's being available:

I went to my Ford dealership and the technician thinks that there is no link between the message center and the seats as the he said the seats are controlled by a controller under the seat. I then said to him that there are other people out there with 2011+ F150's and they have these option, he thought this is due being a higher model with more functionality. They are going to contact Ford and Audiovox who apparently make the nav and message center for our trucks and see if they can find a solution.
If there's anyone else out there with FX4's or other models of F150's and can attest that these two extra menu's do exist then I can use this as more ammunition when dealing my Ford dealer.

I just talked to the mechanic at my Ford dealership and he contacted Ford Engineering and they told him that when a truck comes from the factory with this remote start feature it comes with a slightly different message center display and all the other electronics that enable it to control the heat/cooled seats when using the remote start.
Apparently this after the fact remote start system doesn't support pre-heating/pre-cooling the seats.
Is there anyone out there that had this system installed after they bought their truck? And if so can you see these driver seat and passenger seat in the message center?
Just want to make sure that my dealer isn't feeding me a story to make me go away.

Mine has the auto/off with remote start, and work just fine.
When everything is set to auto it defaults to 70*. So, hot or cold it will crank the ac or heat to reach that temp. In both the vents and seats.
No issues, came from the factory that way. '12 eb FX4, 8900mi
