2012 F-150 has a water intrusion issue:
Hi guys, I am new here but have visited on and off for awhile. I have a 2012 F-150 FX4 crewcab and it has an issue I am wondering if any of you have had. When it rains for a few days in a row or when the snow melts on the roof I get water that pours out of the A pillar on the passenger side of the vehicle. It comes right out of the grab handle.
The first time it happened it had been raining non stop for 3 days and I got into the truck to go to the store and noticed the passenger floor was flooded with water and saw the headliner dripping, then I noticed water running out of the grab handle. The first thing I checked was to make sure the sunroof was closed, it was. I took it immediately to the dealer, but it was a Saturday morning and the service dept. was closed. My salesman said he would give me a rental to drive and put it the shop to be looked at first thing Monday morning. Well by that time it had dried up fairly well and they told me they could find no issue.
I then had it happen in the following winter and took it back, they again said they could find no reason for it. Basically they act as if though they don't believe me and tell me that they have contacted Ford to see if anyone else has had this issue, They tell me nobody has reported this except me. Well It just happened again and my wife was with me so I had her video it on my phone. I also have witness's to it every time but this is the first time we took video.
What I am asking I guess, is has anybody else here had this issue ? I really like my truck for it's good gas mileage and really good pulling power , and this is coming from someone who has pulled the same exact load with my Ecoboost and my 2001 7.3L powerstroke and my son's 6.0 powerstroke. I pull a heavily modded Jeep YJ that is my rock crawler total weight of trailer and Jeep around 7500-8000#'s. The Ecoboost does it as easy if not easier than the other two trucks.
The dealer tells me they have had water run on it for over 8 hours and can't find any leaks. I know the winter time issues are most likely the drain channel freezing up but I still don't think water should make it inside. But that doesn't explain the summer time rain issue. They said they checked the drain channel and it was completely free of debris. If that is so why is this an ongoing issue with my truck ? It's not very cool to be driving along and when you hit the brakes have water pour all over the passengers legs and lap. I mean what if my wife had her laptop sitting on her lap when it happened ? Sorry for the long post but I wanted to include as much info as I could. Thanks for taking the time to read it.

Sirius antenna leak (?). IIRC there's a TSB.
EDIT: TSB 10-4-7

The dealer claims every time I have taken it in that they have run water on it via a hose for 8 hours a day. They had it for 3 days the first time not including the days it sat in the shop over the weekend. They had it for 2 days the second time and make the same claim of running the water on it for 8 hours each day.

Guarantee that they haven't done 8 hours of water on it. They're lying to you.

Thanks I will relay this info to the dealer as they assured me they checked all for any TSB's related to this issue and said there wasn't any. They also claimed to have contacted Ford with this issue but quite frankly I don't believe they did. Is there somewhere I can find this TSB and print it to take to the dealer?

At least it seems none of these issues are wide spread that we know of. I have an 2010 super crew and while traveling home from Ohio to Wa I was traveling on the worst pavement broken up badly, I have ever seen for many miles. I was towing my trailer in California (the fact they are broke showed by the condition of some of there rural freeways) and due to very heavy traffic I was forced to travel in this lane. Anyways there seals with rivets going through them on the top back of our cabs. One started leaking in a heavy rain storm. So I sealed both sides at one time with clear silicone by permatex. It was quick easy fix.
