You may have some buddies that moan and cry over you getting a turbo V6. I did. Rest assured in knowing that the EcoBoost is strong and reliable. I came out of a '11 F350 6.7 PSD 4x4 to an EcoBoost. Not one trip to the dealer for even the slightest problem since I got it (12k miles ago). Congrats!!

I miss my 6.0 but the 3.5 has been good to me and impressed me with towing.

Old wives tale.....probably was true at one point. I wouldnt sweat it to much now. When we get new patrol cars, they go straight to work, and are drivn the complete opposite of how the book says to do it. Get in the truck and enjoy yourself.

I'm a little late...but I agree with everybody, I am coming from a 5.6L V8 and I couldn't be happier with the Ecoboost. Surprising and unexpected power, and like everyone else said, it's very quiet.
