Default 2012 Ecoboost

I have a '12 Ecoboost. I was under the truck this week to refasten a heat shield located on the undercarriage located under the driver/passenger front seat and noticed what looks like a mount on each side (driver and passenger) to mount something. I can't figure what was there or what these are for. I wish I had taken a photo. Maybe another skid plate? One of the mounts (what I am calling it) had a small spring on it just dangling there. Any ideas?

There is a second "plate" made of fiberboard and insulation that covers about 2 feet after the metal. It attaches to the cross member and then to the side frame rails. Not uncommon for it to go missing as the original hardware was lost by the second oil change. I still have it on and will get a pic. I replaced all the missing hardware with carriage bolts, washers, and wing nuts.

It probably fell off or someone removed it and never reinstalled. It's not really needed. Only deadens the sound a bit. I removed mine along with the brackets and front valance when I bought my truck. In fact I still have them if anyone wants them.

Got any pics? I might be interested in doing this if I think it looks ok.

It may take me a few days to get you a picture. I'm working everyday 13hr + days.

I took it off when it was 2 years old. No major rips, tears, etc.

Sorry I didn't mean I was interested in the parts, but more what yours looked like without the airdam. I'm thinking about removing mine.

Ah you confused me.

Look online. There are plenty of pics out there. Trucks look much better without them. Plus we rip them off pretty easily around here.
