Default 2012 cab corner rust

My 2012 is rusting pretty badly on the cab corners. My dealer says is will more than likely not be covered because there are not holes in it yet. Has anyone else had this problem? I keep my truck very clean at all times and am not sure why it is rusting already.

Mine has the same, most will have it happen. There are people who think the rear window seal is the cause, some thing the 3rd brake light. Some dealers will cover the repair, but they pull this little trick where they put tape on the paint and if they pull any paint/metal/rust off with the tape they will fix it. Pretty stupid process if you ask me... I believe there is a 5 years rust warranty (?) you may want to call ford directly and see if you can get through to anyone.

That's funny corporate is the worst. Better chances of the dealer helping you. Ford corporate has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. And I was trying to work with the with issues that have kept me out of my car for 13 months out of the 37 I've owned the car.

I really hope that FORD steps up and takes care of this! This is the first F150 I have owned and have had a few major issues with it (HP fuel pump at 40K, warranty did not cover the repair, and a blower actuator in the dash, also not covered). I am a die hard FORD guy but this is starting to make me think twice about buying a new one.

How much longer do you have on the warranty? It shouldn't bee too far from breaking through, it might take a bit of "motivation" though
