I have the leather seats in my 2012 Lariat and I will admit that it took me awhile to get use to them cause for one I never had leather in any of my previous vehicles and they were just very stiff and didn't give very much at all.

The last 5 months they have really changed for me and I don't feel bothered at all now. It's comfortable for me to drive in the truck for 6 hours.

The seats will soften a little after use, they now seem to sag where I sag. However, the Wifey, and I found the seats comfy from day one. But, neither of us are over 6'.

BTW, the Platinum comes standard with a telescoping steering column. I not sure about the King Ranch though. That may help you some.

I have a 2010 FX4 with leather and found the seat to take some adjustment to get to my liking. Now that I have found the spots (I have two settings I like) I could fall asleep in the seat. I must add, I remove a jacket if I have one on when I drive. If I leave the jacket on I find I am not nearly as comfortable. I am 6' about 225lbs.

Default 2011 xlt 3.7 scab 2x

I never gave the seats much thought except that I liked them until a buddy of mine said he cant ride in his fathers 2011 because the seats are so uncomortable. I dont see it, but I guess it proves that every butt is different.

I did a 6 hr drive at Christmas time and could have gone 6 moe no problem

I find the front of the seat are to high and it cant be adjusted out, if you notice the seat are made to have you sitting back in the seat, the front of seat is mounted on a ridge, looking into maybe some spacers for the rear to get some of the pressure off the back of my thighs. Any other thoughts

I have problems with the lower lumbar or lack of. Mine seems to barely push out and my lower back is now suffering from it. I'm going to have to buy something to make up for the lack of lumbar support. This on a 12 fx4. Anyone else have the same issue?

I'm 6'9" 260# and my 09 XLT seats with Katzkin leather are the most comfortable I've ever sat in. Usually my legs fall asleep after any sort of distance but Fords seem to work well for me. Of course, someone always has to go and mess with my seat settings

I am a big dude with wide shoulders. 6' and 250#. My F350 captains chairs are VERY comfortable. This F150 has the leather buckets, took me 3k miles to find the right position. Have seat memory 1 set for winter when I have my heavy Carhart on and seat memory 2 is for summer when I am not wearing a jacket. I know what the original poster said about funny back position. I love the side supports on these seats though. I fit right in them like they were made for me.

04 lariat leather buckets i could never find a comfortable seating position. 11 xlt buckets are way more comfortable and easy to find that 'just right position'.
