Default 2012 or 2013?

Going to pick one up Friday from a lot that has a ton of them. I'm looking between model years 2012 and 2013. Anything in particular I should be looking for? I doesn't seem like there were a lot of changes between 2012 and 2013. My biggest concern is the shudder/vibration reported here. Is there a reason there isn't a model year 2013 sticky for the shudder/vibration? Did Ford upgrade the driveline in 13 to resolve the shudder/vibration issue? If so that would help me eliminate the 2012s from my search. I also prefer the 5.0. thanks for any insight or advice that you guys can share.

If your going for the 5.0 either year doesn't matter. If you do decide to look at ecoboost, look at 2013's. The upgraded the turbo size that model year to compensate for the restrictions on the CAC. Over all both model years are the same. See which one they will give you a better deal on. I know 2013's still have some good rebates out.

Definitely consider the '13's with the HID's, you won't regret it.

Only if you buy an lariat or up trim level as an optional package.

What's the price difference? I am willing to bet that you be able to find a new '13 for used prices on most lots

In 2014 you can. That was not an option in 2013 for the XLT's.

My 2014 XLT with HID's. They are probably my most favorite thing about this truck.

the 2012 is 35,500 with 34K miles
the 2013 with same options is $37,500 has 18K miles.

both lariat 5.0 nav, reverse camera, off road packages.

I'm leaning toward the 2012 as it has the 3.73 and the 2013 has the 3.55 diff.

I'm still leery of the ecoboost.
