In my 2012, I had the jumpseat and swapped bracket and seat for a console. You have to remove the front seats rear anchors. The bracket for a jumpseat has 6 mount points; 2 front, 2 rear, and the inner rear bolts of the front seats.

It's a pain to get out after, rotate and stretch the carpet a little.

Did you get the 2008 console to work properly in your 2011?

I had the same problem with the cast aluminum base, turns out that you don't remove it at all. Just remove the four horizontal bolts in the seat base to remove the seat and the base remains to attach the center console to. The two front seats hold down the "wings" of the cast aluminum base. Fordpartsgiant.com has a good diagram of the seat parts. Good luck.
