Default 2011 Tire Wear

Anyone else noticing abnormal wear on their 2011 tires? My Platinum's OEM 275/55R20 Pirelli Scorpions are getting a 'saw tooth' wear pattern in front on the outside edges. That usually indicates a toe issue in alignment. Dealer has realigned the front end (at my expense) and after a rotation, the fresh fronts are starting the same pattern. Thoughts other than letting these things eat themselves and getting better tires?

I had an 08 with Scorpions and went through them by the time I hit 20,000 miles. I drive pretty conservatively. On my 2010 I have 10,000 miles and they looked new when I got rid of them the other day. As far as abnormal, no... just seemed to wear out quickly.

My 2010 is doing the same thing. I am going to have it aligned soon (should be at dealer's expense, since there are only 5000 miles on the truck). I just had the tires rotated and balanced as well...Discount Tire had a hard time balancing them and said it is pretty common with those tires. So, I'll probably just end up wearing them out in the first couple years and then buy something better.

My Scorpions have 9100 miles on them and still look great. I am going to do my first rotation at 10,000 and every 5K thereafter.

Took the stock Pirelli's off at 2,100 miles and put on some Nitto Terra's.

I have had 4 different F-150's with 20" Pirelli's on them and they all have worn funny on the front tires. My Yukon Denali had Goodyear 20's and they wore funny too.

You have to make sure you do a cross tire rotation pattern!

Pirellis are pute garbage IMO... dealers look for the cheapest tires so they dont take up to much of the car value.. we just take em out of our trucks everytime, we buy the truck then it goes straight to the tire shop and get a leveling kit and bigger m/t tires. but thats just my opinion.
