This is a very well known issue wit the 2011 trucks. Sync pretty much works fine unless you have something plugged into USB and only that happens sometimes.

If you search around you will find tons of threads about it. Mine works perfect every time unless I have something plugged into USB and then it only works sometimes.

Ford and Sync both claim to be aware of the issue, but neither have a resolution.

I did the USB2 mod and all my SYNC issues stopped. Might just be a coincidence but it is the only thing I changed.
