Thanks for the info gents, now thinking about trading the truck for a V8 version to get better MPG, who would have thought going from a V6 to a V8 would be more economical.

Just an Update I am at 16.5 MPG now. Seems getting some miles on the truck tightens up the motor.

I have a 2010 STX 4x4 with a 4.6 2 valve with 21,000 miles...I get a solid 17.5-18 mpg, that's 50/50 mixed driving. Highway I get 21 mpg easy. I use 89 octane gas too though...I don't know if that matters or not.
