How much was your F150? $20 is the biggest bargain Ford offers for direct access to the service info for your truck.

PERFECT example of why it is worth it to spend the $20... Dealers sometimes get it wrong! They don't know about TSB's that do exist, or think a non-applicable TSB might be the solution to the problem, or just plain make stuff up to settle the customer.

My dealer is good. I'd say even very good. But they definitely weren't as familiar with the transmission leak TSB as I was after downloading/reading it, and they didn't catch a few points outlined in the TSB -or- the repair procedure outlined in the Service Manual. Now it was the first time they performed that particular TSB, and I'm sure they have it down now, but it made a big difference in knowing my truck was repaired quickly and correctly. If you read some of the posts from others who had their leaking transmissions worked on, the dealers sometimes did not know about or correctly follow the TSB, and it resulted in continued problems with leaking.

Thank you! He did state it was just released 2 days ago and from my observation the TSB doesn't get posted for approx 2 days after, just compare that in previous TSB's.

When checking for that TSB, search for a shudder instead of a shutter.
