That's what they mean by flashing the truck, you live in Hawaii, be thankful they aren't charging 3x's that. I paid $90 at my local dealer here in La.

I actually don't live there anymore I live in Las Vegas now. I would never let any dealer in Hawaii touch my truck.

Lost wages ehh? ... LOL yeah well don't feel like the Lone Ranger, so long as Ford owns the technology you WILL pay for it one way or another. After I got hit with the bill I bought my own computer to do that kind of stuff, same computer the dealer uses.

Not cheap by any definition, cost me $2,200 for the initial start up and for 2 years it was $700/yr for the software license, they recently went up to $800/yr for that, meaning you either pay up or you have a fancy paper weight.

Could someone please clarify the options for me?

I see the style that the majority of you seem to be using kit like this which basically just include 2 new keys and an antenna.

I keep seeing this style of kit which does not include the antenna and says if works with your factory keys.

Orr...am I completely off base and actually need both kits?
