Okay

I have the bt4z-19g364-a remote start

Is there any way to program it to run longer? Its currently set to run only 10 minutes. Which isnt gonna be nearly long enough in winter where I live.

For some reason I can't see the Driver Seat and Passenger seat option under the Climate Control menu. I see all other options under the Remote Start section as per page 37 of the F150 owners guide.

I'm thinking because I can't set the driver seat and passenger seat to auto then my seats won't do anything as per page 80 of the owners guide.

Can anyone with a nav system and this 4 button keyfob remote starter confirm if they can or can't see these extra options or if the seats work automatically based on outside temperature.
Did you manage to get your seats working. I am only installing the plug and play one if auto adjusts the temperature and turns on the heated seats
I got a 2012 fx4 with nav and the climate control.
I didn't order the factory starter because of the range issues however knowing now that it turned on the ac or heat and cooled or heated seats would have been nice

So from what I've found talking through my local Ford dealer, Ford Canada and asking someone from Tasca Ford is that when you add the aftermarket installed Ford remote start system it doesn't support turning on the heated and cooled seats. Basically trucks that come from the factory with remote start have a different version of the uplevel message center and powertrain control module that supports controlling the heated/cooled seats when remote starting.

When the Ford aftermarket remote start system is installed it adds different options in the message center, remote start run time 5,10 or 15min, auto ac/heat or last setting, auto/off front defrost, auto/off rear defrost and a quiet start option.

Yeah I was down there today and heard the same thing. Only one that controls the heated an cooled seats is the 300' range with the new key fob

Call 1-800-Ford-Key, they are the tech line for Ford rmst installers. I called them once and they helped me even though I'm just an average joe consumer like you. Give them the part number of your system and they should be able to tell you how to change the program settings such as the run time.

It appears that Code Systems (aka Code Alarm) still makes the systems for Ford, and you can access a bunch of different Ford tech files by signing up on this website: http://techservices.codesystems.com/Login.aspx

I couldn't find a programming file for your particular system other than this file tells you how to add more remotes to the system: http://documents.codesystems.com/711947.pdf

I've been tinkering with these Ford rmst systems for several trucks now (02, 04 and 09), and I use the programming files to change the settings myself. I've never had any issues with the Ford rmst systems. sorry I don't know too much about the 2011 and up new systems.

As an update on this topic, I installed the series 200 factory remote start (separate fob with alarm system) on my 2012 FX4 a couple weeks ago and had it enabled at the dealer earlier this week. I can confirm that I do NOT have any options in the menu for controlling the seats, just cabin heat/cooling. However, temp was at freezing this am and I used the remote start. When I got to my vehicle a few minutes later both front seats were toasty warm. So it appears they are still controlled automatically, you just don't get any menu items to control them manually if that makes sense. Hopes this helps with those of you that are on the fence. I assume it would work like this with the series 100 but don't know for sure. Maybe someone else can chime in.

I have the series 100 system (4 button keyfob) and I swear that when it was hotter out I could feel the seat cooling on my leg.

Will see as it gets colder up here in the great white north if the seats feel warm after remote starting it.

I installed the BB5Z-19G364-C Remote Start on my 2011and it works great. It controls the heat/AC/Seats....You can not "set" the seats the truck determines when to activate them based on the ambient temperature outside and will make them warm/cool accordingly. With that said based on the temp the seats may or may not activate. One more thing I do have the dual climate control in the truck which I believe you have to have for all of this to work. (don't quote me on the last part but that is what I was told)

I installed the kit in literally 5 minutes, and the dealership I bought my truck from activated it for free.

Well, the dealer charged me for 1 hour, didn't feel too bad until I got it home and it wouldn't work. I took it in the next day after work, they told me I installed the antenna too high. I moved it down so the antenna was below the mirror, like they and the instructions they had suggested. Still, it wouldn't work correctly. Before I took it back again, I stopped at the local Battery Warehouse and put a new battery in the remote. Need I say more, it works perfectly. Very pleased, especially since bad weather has arrived.
