my bad Brilliant Black, I was referring to the remote start. the trailer brake controller works with my steering also.
to add remotes and adjust how remote start works I hear a button should be under the dash.

No button for remote start either. Dealer has to program and you use steering wheel controls to change settings.

I'm taking a guess, and this is only a shot in the dark.. I think the LED and button are for the stock alarm if you have it?

If your talking alarm not sure. If your talking Auto Start, hell yea I would stay with the ford one. I got the one with seperate keyfob, it tells me when truck is started by led and sound. I can start it from my office which is in middle of our building. I also love the way you control the auto start with the steering wheel controls and on screen display... Very nice for stock, you won't be disappointed.

I hate all the remotes and fobs too, but from what I read the remote start with the key doesn't have any range, which is what I needed.... Also has no feedback that the truck is started, which I also needed. Can't see my truck from the building very easily..

Is there a problem where they don't start or is the feedback just for personal reassurance.

Default Just got done installing the bi directional

It took me an hour and a half, start to finish, including putting tools away. I could do the next one so much quicker. It was so easy, I was my own worst enemy. I over thought every move. Thank you for the pictures posted, far better than the paper instructions that I got from the dealer. I've got an appointment Monday, Oct. 29th to activate it. My small town Ford dealer is quoting a maximum of 2 hours time. He told me that some trucks accept the download quicker and easier than others. We'll see how it goes. I bought both the truck and now the starter there. I've got to drive miles and make a real issue about trying a different one. I'll let you know how it works out for me. I really appreciate the coaching you guys gave on this forum.

Do you guys think the 100$ more for the 100 to the 200series is worth it?
