Yeah it took me a while to convince my dealer to do it too. I showed them all of the codes to reprogram it and even how to do it properly (all from this site) and eventually they did it and all is working fine. Good luck! Kevin

Tried searching to find the answer but no luck. I have a stock 2011 XL with crank windows and manual door locks... The 100 Series Plug-N-Play remote start kit states "NOTE: Available only for vehicles with power door locks". Is this correct?
Also, can I install the factory power door locks so that I can use the function on the keys to unlock the doors without breaking the bank?

Well, the 100-series remote requires a "lock, start, start" button press sequence to start the engine so I'm guessing the computer has to know the doors are locked via the lock input. (keyword: guessing... so take it with a grain of salt.) I installed mine in my STX with no issues.

Default 2011 f150 xl manual locks

Has anyone installed any of the ford remote start systems without having power locks?

Just got a 2012 xlt and want to add a remote start and electric trailer brake.
ordered a 2000 series remote start BT4Z-19G364-A and brake controler. brake went in no problem but talk about a program button and LED hidden under dash near steering column to adjust setting to your needs is a problem.
I've disassembled nearly everything and no button.
Has things changed that much between the 2010 & 2012?
this button seems to be the only 'user' way to change setting, without it I'm stuck with a dealer activating and making all further adjustments.
am i looking in the wrong place for a 2012?

My trailer brake is controlled by the steering wheel controls, you have to get it activated by dealer, i have 2012 xlt. trailer brake has two buttons + and - and the slider for brake, that's it... No button or led that i know of?

Thanks Kevin,
Camera is installed and it just worked. didn't have to do anything to activate. I'm going to try to get the code so I can have zoom and marker features. cannot seem to find it for mirror version?

Default F150 Remote Start System - 100 Series Plug and Play

I recently had a BC3Z-19G364-A system installed in my 2012 F150 with nav and climate control.

After the dealer finished the install I can see the Remote Start in the truck apps portion of the advance menu system.

For some reason I can't see the Driver Seat and Passenger seat option under the Climate Control menu. I see all other options under the Remote Start section as per page 37 of the F150 owners guide.

I'm thinking because I can't set the driver seat and passenger seat to auto then my seats won't do anything as per page 80 of the owners guide.

Can anyone with a nav system and this 4 button keyfob remote starter confirm if they can or can't see these extra options or if the seats work automatically based on outside temperature.
