They are gimmicky, no better than any other free flowing muffler. It's personal choice and they do have a unique sound. But you can't argue with an Aero turbine muffler owner. That's like trying to reason with an Amsoil rep or someone who believes it's a good idea to dump Sea Foam down an engine (which is a solvent developed for Marine outboards btw).

I take delivery of my truck this week and as soon as my aero turbine 3030xl muffler arrives the truck will be getting it installed. I don't see many people doing exhaust on these either out of fear of ford or fear of ricer sound. I love the aero sound on my diesel as well as my dads trailblazer ss. Absolutely not. The company originally started making systems for Italian race cars with high output engines. the company was later endorsed by Nascar. This particular muffler has a straight thru design with an internal airfoil. There are videos that describe the muffler's design. My motor has turbos and that's why it sounds like that.
