We all have little critiques and complaints about different items on our trucks. Doesn't mean that we are not proud to own them and are overall satisfied with the truck.
Yeah really, your damn right I did serious research on the exact truck I purchased! I had a list of questions a mile long when I went to the four different dealers. I also test drove multiple trucks of all trim levels. I took an hour to go over the manual and play with all the bells and whistles BEFORE I signed the paperwork, I knew exactly what or what I was not getting. I knew for a fact that my new truck would not read digital display nor tell me what the speed limit was. I love that feature in my Garmin and would have loved to seen this in the truck, but I did not think it was deserving of a thread to voice my disappointment!

Instead of posting it on a forum why don't you really take your comments and critiques to Ford, THEY, and THEY alone, are the ones that have the ability to change the issues you don't like about your new truck and put it into future cars and trucks.

Well, if you want to call doing research being gifted, then yes, I must be gifted, but I would rather call it being smart. I was not going to drop 50K on a truck, all ***** nilly, without knowing about it first. At least when someone decides to look to see if the truck will tell you the speed limit and does not have a digital readout, this thread will be the first thing to come up in a Google search! Even though asking this question before you purchase instead of after the purchase, would have saved you the trouble, hell a simple test drive would have answered both of your questions.

Hahaaaa, old technology, should be on every car now days! Hell how long have planes been around? Why can't my truck fly? I think I will start a thread about it!

You guys are asses. I think it was a legitimate question, is their an option to display speed on the Nav. No, ok then. Most gps systems do. To make stupid comments about flying trucks and cup warmers for lattes on the way to the spa is just childish.

Let the flaming begin.

BTW there are apps for iPhones that can display speed and you can use them as a HUD.

I am surprised at some of the comments.

Yes I am going to say you are one gifted individual that knew all the options and features and how to work them. I don't care how much research you did, you're going to miss something. Did you know how to disable the seat belt chime, or how to fold down the back seat on a SCREW, or how to disable traction control?

With the way I have my seat and steering wheel adjusted my line of sight to my speedo is blocked by my steering wheel for certain speeds. Yes I deal with it, but my line of sight isn't blocked for the digital display.
Also let's be realistic here, it's software. It would be so easy for Ford to allow you to see your digital speed display on the center driver screen, but they don't. Not a deal breaker for me but one more thing that was a 'negative' in my & my wife's viewpoint when comparing different vehicles.

As to the fighter pilot display, my wife's GMC Acadia had that and it was awesome, too bad the vehicle had too many other problems. Also I am wondering just how many that are down playing this whole request have even driven a vehicle with Heads Up Display, or a digital speedo...

I must admit I am pretty excited to see what they open up for apps, as there is just a few things I would customize and I would love my truck. Right now I just really like it.
