Latest photos of my grill. I scrape the paint off with my finger, it is so badly designed.

Has anyone found any improvements in their replacement grills? I'm thinking of when to get mine replaced. I could do it now to make sure it experiences rocks and see if it's better (before street cleaners sweep up winter sand/gravel). Or wait a few months and get it done with my first service. Either way the replacement has been approved, I just can't afford to give up my truck anymore than needed.

Get it now. After the manufacturer telling Ford they went through 25 grills to find a good one for my truck it still came peeling. On the 3rd try they got it right. Atleast, as right as I think there capable of. I wouldn't drag it out.

When I picked up my truck on delivery it was all chipped up. So they got me a new one. I took the grill in to be 3mmd and so far it is perfect. Nothing so far. Hope fully you can get a new one

Was curious if there was any way to clear coat the grill for added protection? Def seems the grill needs an extra layer above the paint.

Ford needs to take ownership and blame the supplier of the grills internally.

Finally got it resolved. Called the sales manager where I bought it, and they were very helpful. Paint is not perfect, but you have to look real close to notice. Ford told them not to coat or 3M it, so I expect I am not done with this yet.

Think I might go the 3 M route for other areas on the truck as well.

Same problem here. Noticed it with about 400km on the odo Although I don't have any stone chips (the truck has not seen snow or dirt roads yet) the grill on my Limited is peeling up by the top bar like in Toiler's last picture. Rocks cannot even get to that spot to chip it, it is just poor quality that is probably peeling from the minimal amount of rub between the grill part and the chrome surround. Dealer says they will replace it at the first service and thanks to you guys I will inspect it very closely before the new one goes on. This would be the last thing I would have thought would be a problem.
