Default 2011 Lariat intermittent IWE 4x4 Actuator issues

Once in awhile I get the noise from the iwe trying to engage when in 2x4. Sounds like I'm dragging sheet metal, it will go away as soon as I switch it to 4x4. Then I can put it back in 2x4 and it's gone. Once in awhile it will come right back and go away. It has happened probably 10-12 times in the past 2 months.
I checked the vacuum and I have vacuum on both sides in 2x4 and no vacuum in 4x4. Anyone have this issue and it goes away right when its put in 4x4? I'd rather not replace the actuators unless I have to. Thanks for any help

Mine does it as well and I replaced both actuators last fall....I noticed it does it more when it's been sitting all night in the extreme cold temperature.

I blew out my lines with compressed air and it stopped for now. The bad IWE that I replaced last year left rusty dust in the lines that might've clogged it a bit.

Anyone one else have a fix to this issue?

Check and replace the check valve. It has been known to work intermittently. If it isn’t that, then it will probably be the solenoid. There may be other causes but, those are the most common and cheapest.

I already replaced the solenoid with a brand new one from Ford.

I'll try swapping the check valve to see if it'll get rid of it.

The -30DegC might make it stick.

Does anyone have the part numbers for the check valve and the solenoid? I'll start there, id rather wait until the weather warms up a bit before replacing the iwe's. No garage space at the time
