Have been reading about some heated seat issues and a blower is mentioned. I have a 2011 lariat with the heated/cooled option. A fan blows when the cooled setting is on. It does not blow on heat. Is it supposed to?

I think so because I imagine it's just wires or something that heat up in the seats. Love that damn option, though. I turn it on just to make the back feel better.

On mine I believe the cooled seats blow but I can't hear a blower when the heated seats are on - but they do warm up very nicely.

That is what mine does. They get hot!! This is the first time I have had anything with all these options. Well 1 with automatic climate control and leather but that is it.

they blow on heat, at least mine do
low heat feels good on the old back
and they blow on cool as well, best thing ever

It seems like sometimes mine blow on heat, at least I can hear the fan. Other times I'm not sure.

2011 Platinum.

Don't know, in Hawaii where I don't use the heated option, but I do love the cooled seats when I get in the truck and it's hot.

2011 Lariat and I can hear the fan cycle on/off almost variable in speed when I turn on the heated seat. In cooled mode, the fan always runs.
As other have said previously, they get HOT, even in the lowest setting. I have to turn off after a few mins.
