Default Firestone Air Bags

I have a 2012 f150 fx4 3.73 6.5" box and fatbobs aal which gave me 2.5" of lift which is perfect. But they seem to squeek and make noise which is driving me crazy. I want to remove the aal and add air bags. For those of you who have firestone air bags how much lift did you get with the minimum 5psi unloaded? Is it ok to use air bags as a lift in the rear?

You are not going to get much lift at the 5 psi. I have the riderite bags. I hunk my minimum is 10 or 15 psi. I run about 15 psi all the time either way. I've never measured lift but I would say if you really loaded them with enough air to get almost 3 inches of lift you will not like the ride. Granted the bag is only going to rise so much. I run 40 to 45 psi when I haul my camper. It lift the real up nicely but it's like a log wagon when the camper is unhooked. It'll Rattle your teeth loose.

5 psi gives about 1/2" lift.
