Default Bringing a single wire into the cab through the firewall.

I have a 2011 XLT with a 5 liter. Without looking for myself I wondered if anyone has brought wires into the cab through the firewall to operate some small accessories like fog lamps. If you have where did you pass through the firewall? I'm looking at a single 12g wire.

I have 2011 SCREW and there is two plugs on the pass side. I used the bigger hole and ran a 8 gage power which comes out pass side fuse box inside the cab. May have to use a fish tape to fish wire through.

I did the same as Violent flame. Passenger side, there is a plug near the top. Popped out the plug, ran my wires through it, then through the hole. Looking into the hole from under the hood, you can see a hard white insulation material. I punch a hole through that as well, and then into the cab. Trying to get behind that white insulation and the firewall itself was nearly impossible.

12AWG wire is somewhat small, so you may need to fish a bunch through, and then reach up from the inside to pull it down. Patience....and good luck!

I drill holes where I want them and install a rubber grommet so the wire doesnt get cut on the metal frame, just make sure you know whats on both sides of the firewall before you start drilling.

OK thanks for those ideas. I'll first look for those plugs on the passenger side.
