I dont see a way for the moisture to damage the HID. The hid bulb is sealed behind the projector housing. The only moisture that shows up is on the outer edges of the lamp. I work for Mercedes-Benz and most all of our HID's have this same issue especially in the colder weather. We cant even fix them under warranty unless they puddle up with water inside.

after i read this i checked mine because i changed my tails to harleys. and i forgot one of those gaskets on the old housing. i thought that side had alot more condensation then the others. thanx.

Np. We get people coming into our shop allot with condensation in a light, that they changed the bulbs in. Sometimes they just forgot to turn the bulb all the way. Glad it worked out.

You will regret sealing your lights 100%...it will get worse. You need more vents actually. The difference from the heat on the inside to the cold on the outside naturally produces moisture/condensation...that's the laws of physics. If you seal them up 100%, this moisture will have no where to escape/evaporate.

Yep - the thread about painting the edges of light housings is in fact sealing up the majority of this venting with paint.

I make the lights for the escape the same place makes the lights for f-150 there is a vent patch on the back of the housing that lets water vapor out but is not expose to let mosture in we leak test them before they leave the factory
