Mine has less than that pic but I can see it if I look for it. Never noticed it until
I saw this thread! Doesn't really bother me but if a fix can be found I'd do it.

The problem is the plastic bracket on the bottom of the bumper. It needs to be trimmed up so it will sit with the correct gap. I'm still working on a solution for that. Here is the bracket mentioned earlier. I'm a bodytech also, just did 2 of these yesterday

Here is the lip I'm talking about. It is removable from the upper bumper, but not without removing the UB

Not a cheap fix, but you could get one of these:

The top pad has a black plastic support attached to the back. In the center it also provides a spacer between it and the steel bumper . The steel bumper is to high this pushes the center of the pad up lower the bumper by slightly backing off the 21mm nuts that connect to the frame just enough so that you can bump the bumper down by hand and it won't just fall. Put it where you want and tighten. There are two nuts on either rail one inside and one out the inside is a little difficult on the ecoboost but not hard

has anyone done a step by step on how it fix it. I'm pretty darn mechanically inclined and that explanation above is pretty confusing.

If you are trying to make an even gap under the grill this is what I did.

I need to do this too! My bumper is all jacked up1 one side the gap is like 1/4 wide the other side 1 inch. The middle is like and 1 inch as well. I have looked under there to see if I could at least loosen up the bolts and align it, but wanted to see if anyone else has done this. I have a 2012 Ecoboost FX2.

subscribed....mine does this a bit too. I'm particular when it comes to alignment and this has been bugging me. I hope to see a solution soon, along with a "how to"!
