Damnit. This is what im really, really afraid of. I have a 2013 F150 complete in the shop I could swap anything to, but Im afraid the entire vehicle communication would have to be swapped due to the differences in the bus.

Howdy - Just got my truck this last weekend and like others I am not crazy about the sound system or the Bluetooth performance. I also have the Sony system with the built-in Nav and climate controls. I had something very similar in a Lexus I had years ago. I was able to buy the climate controls from a non-nav model and install my aftermarket stereo. Has anyone verified if the factory wiring is compatible?

I would love to find this out too, but highly doubt it. If that were the case, we could do the android 8" non-nav upgrade.

No redundant controls for heated/cooled seats.

The heated cooled seats are buttons on the dash and not in the screen. The temp settings and dual climate settings as well as the vent settings are all in the screen on the nav unit models

Not in 2013. I think you have it backwards, 2012 has actual buttons.

Same with 2011. I have buttons for everything as well as integrated into the 8" nav screen.
