Some states prohibit all weapons from being concealed permit or not. Got in an argument with a cop over a 4 ft sword in the back seat in fl.

I have Black Leather interior on my Lariat. Will these seat covers prematurely wear the Leather possibly with the seams of the seat cover rubbing on the seat?

Because we all know that people are having problems with the bottom of their Leather seats with premature wear, will these help?

That is the whole point of a concealed permit, or in my case, a license to carry firearms (LTCF). It allows concealed carry on your person, or in an automobile. (Pa)

I'd love to hear what states you are referring to. Most states that prohibit, prohibit any kind of carry, or at least make it almost impossible to get a permit to carry.

When traveling to states other than your home state, you should check into the carry laws in those states. Allot of states honor other states permits/licenses, but many do not allow carry of any type, and must therefore be unloaded and locked in a container away from the passenger compartment, if traveling directly through that state.

I didn't mean for the "gun tote" to turn into a discussion about concealed carry, but it raises an important issue: if you are going to carry in your truck, then you need to know your state laws.

In my state, open carry is legal, and licensed conceal carry is also legal (I'll be getting my CCL). However, anyone in my state (except those barred by law, such as convicted felons) can legally carry concealed in a vehicle; this also applies to people traveling from a different state into, or through, my state.

So know your state laws and, by all means, carry if you can. Otherwise, try to get your state laws changed if they are too restrictive.

I wouldn't think the seat covers would cause damage. They probably will provide protection from any damage your seats might get just from jeans or other "rough" clothing.

My state also has open carry, but you must have a LTCF to carry, even openly, in a vehicle. We are working on getting this changed.

If you don't mind me asking, what state are you in? Sorry about the off topic post.

I called them a while back about whether the factory seat heaters would still work and the answer was yes, but the heat would be diminished. I'm still up in the air about whether to get cloth and heated seat covers or leather and heated seats. I don't like cloth because of the static, but I'm not a huge fan of leather seats in a truck. They may get a bit dirty

Having had both, leather cleans up *much* better than cloth, which is why I am getting it in my FX4. Perhaps there are cases where you should avoid leather (dogs scratching it up or chewing on it), but in general I've found leather to need less maintenance and is usually better looking.

Props to the OPs covers, though - I like them much better than the stock XLT seat covers.
