***UPDATE> My a/c recirculation function is not working and I think it's the broken plastic gears on the flap and the source of my problem. There is a solenoid that operates the flap. Installing a new flap and solenoid is not possible without removing the dash. Will attempt the fix per the link below using a screw.

What I had to do to get my air speed boosted and permanently in recirculation mode...Does not require the removal of the dash!
1. Watch the video above.
2. Remove the glove box lid.
3. Remove the plastic cover that covers the fuses.
4. Unplug the electric connection on the blower motor.
5. Pull the carpet back a little so you can remove the 3 screws on the blower and pull the blower out.
6. Reach up in the duct and push on the flap up and down. You want the flap in the up position when you drive a screw through it into the surrounding plastic ductwork. You want to make sure the plastic grate is open toward the front of the truck. If the flap is up than the grate will be visible. Get you a 1.5" self taping screw with a 3/8 head and a large socket extension to reach up into the duct work and drive it with an air ratchet. You are finished! Reinstall the motor, glovebox door, plastic cover over fuses.

I hope you live in the south, because that is not a good fix if you have winter.
Are you saying the air speed is only High, now?

No you can adjust your air speed with the controls, but it's in permanent recycle mode so it's kinda a boosted air speed on each speed selection.

I am thinking my flap might of been stuck in an odd position before I screwed it down and this is why I was getting a hot air draft coming out the floor vent when the system was completely off.

IT'S FIXED!! Just a cool draft of outside air on the floor when the system is off. Flap was in the wrong position. It's screwed now and cannot move.
