I found the speed limiter in my truck a couple of nights ago. 1:30 AM, no cars on the road. Same stretch I had my Mustang out past 130 MPH.

I've driven/owned my share of sports cars, and if I need to go faster, I'll get a car. 100 MPH in a 6000 lb truck is plenty quick for me...

145mph in my 2007 BMW 328i coupe. Couldn't tell I was even going over 80 except all the cars I was passing. At 90 in my new f150 I feel like I'm going to die!!! Lol

145mph on a 1984 Honda last summer. That's when I felt like I was gonna die... but I was ready.

I had a friend who was an extreme mountaineer. He did the rock climbing where you're hanging out over a drop of 2,000 feet. He told me he had to be ready to die every time he did this. He didn't WANT to die, but in his head he knew that he was looking death in the face and daring it to get him.

I fully realize that some people are more afraid of death than others. Every action they take is calculated to protect their lives, and they miss out on an awful lot of great adventures due to fear.

I don't want to die, and I certainly don't want to die slowly and painfully, but for those 2 minutes I was traveling 145mph on my motorbike, I was okay with the universe. (And there was absolutely no one else for miles around for me to maim.)

YouTube has a new video. Search " 120 mph crash test ".
Equals a highway head on 60 + 60.
