Thank God for motorbikes. sigh
Oh yeah, it's so horrible... I guess when y'all stupid people get in an accident, then the fire dept should just leave you trapped in there, and EMS shouldn't work on you at all because according to you we shouldn't save you from your own stupidity

Cigarettes ... Stupidity. Gonna force people to stop?
Alcohol ... Stupidity. Gonna close the bars?
Pigging out on Big Macs ... Stupidity. No one's gonna stop you.

But somehow when it comes to 100mph in a truck, a line must be drawn?
Maybe it should be only 80mph--after all, that's a deadly speed! Or wait ... 60mph should be plenty ... or ???

Here's an idea: how about we make laws and simply enforce them as usual without trying to force everyone else to abide by our personal codes?

Here we go....lol but just kidding. with my programmer i set my speed limiter to 200 MPH. Even though i'll never reach that fast, its still fun for laughs. my 5.4 topped out at 127 MPH on 33's and i definately won't be doing that again. I don't think there's anything wrong with topping out to see what it's got, but don't do all the time, and be smart about it. Other than topping out, I don't remember the last time i went over 70, the fastest road around where i live is 55, but there is a 65 not too far away.

So you went 127 in a 55?

In the midwest many roads are 70 mph speed limit with some 75. So if traffic is travelling 15 over (common) that is 85-90 mph.... So just passing someone or even wavering on speed you can hit the limiter.

110 would be better imo.

But the low limiter did save mme once when an *** in rural OK got pissed that I passed him in my minivan and tried to chase me down in his limited f150. I waved at home "Buh Bye" as I accelerated past 100 and he stopped like he hit a wall. Haha....whhooohhh scarey = we were in the middle of nowhere and no cell reception so I got lucky b/c he was crazy and trying to run us off the road.

In all honesty you eating a big Mac is not going to kill the family in the car next to you. I don't care what anyone does to them self. I care about my family that might be driving beside them. That's what tracks are for.

I think it's stupid to drive over 100mph on a public road... they should strip a guy's operator's license for that. (See?)

But I'm also sick to death of Stasi types trying to force me to live my life in their way.

In my province driving while eating gets you the same penalty as texting or other distracted driving practices, minimum.
You can also incur driving with undue care and attention charges.
Mac attack can be costly and deadly on many fronts....
100 mph? Say goodbye to your truck as it's off to the government auction, you spend the night in jail and a few thousand dollars in fines, insurance, and tow bills.
Go ahead, come up here and see what she'll do! Haha...

Wow, that's harsh. Can't drink your coffee while driving? Alberta's law is more moderate.
