You can remove it with a tuner. I am fine with it being limited as I really don't need to go that fast even if I could.

Mine seems to cut out at 96. I can set cruise control at it and it's pulling a whopping 2600 RPM when it upshifts to 6th gear. Handles great at that speed on highways. Sooner or later I'm going to have to take it off, way too slow for how much power it has and how it performs.

Since when do these pickups handle well at high speeds? Not safe... My truck does pretty good at high speeds off road, but it is still a truck and not a corvette. That said I have a tuner that removed the limiter....BUT that is a by product of the tuner, not what I bought it for. My tires are not speed rated for those speeds anyway.

So at 96 mph you can perform an emergency lane change and feel confident?

Yes I do. This truck handles much better than any of the SUVs that have triple digit limiters, not sure I understand the difference.

Do I go that fast all of the time? No, but there are stretches of long open highway where you can see for a mile and there are few cars in sight.

Wow 20" tires are tiny, the ones on my Mazda3 are bigger than that.

My 2009 FX4 stops at 95MPH on the head

I don't suppose there's any end in this world to people who think their purpose in life is to save you from your self. They'd grab that burger right out of your hand and throw it on the floor... just to save you from a heart attack. And they're darned determined that you'll not travel any faster in your truck than THEY think is safe for you.

Thank God for motorbikes. sigh
