I want better headlights
Took my new ride out on a late night cruise out of town and was really missing the factory HID lighting in my trade in. I've read many threads and posts on here including most of the "All things HID" and just can't accept any of the solutions presented.
I'm not sure if I understand the difference between swapping the bulbs for HID bulbs and appropriate ballasts and getting a retrofit. How can there not be a better solution for this?
I'm thinking Recon is what I'm looking for, but they seem SUPER pricey.
Help?!

I havent bought a ford yet...YET but on my Chevy i put a set in the low beams that are from DDM tunning, http://www.ddmtuning.com/Product-Cat...hting/HID-Kits
There are guys on "the other side" that have had them in their trucks for 2-3 years no problems. I have had mine in for 6 months and love them. Alot of people run them in everything from qauds to motorcycles. Best of all is the price. In my truck i run the raptor kit, plenty of ballast room in a truck. If you go for fogs, I would stick to the 35W so you dont melt your housing. Oh, and mine 5K 55W, plug and play, no splicing required. Hopefully this helps.

Got to find the right deal. Not in any hurry right now, maybe alittle closer to the end of the year. I just like to know what im going to go look at instead of getting there and ending up with something I didnt want or leaving without something that I did.

I'm thinking Recon is what I'm looking for, but they seem SUPER pricey.

There are other projector options out there besides Recon. I'm not knocking them but they are pricey. When I bought my projectors there were only two options and the Recons weren't out yet. I got mine off eBay and have been happy with them. I put DDM HIDs in them. The cut off is good and there is a lot of adjustment for aiming.

I had Ultras in my lows and they lasted just over a year. I know they aren't the same but I put the DDM 55W 5k HID's in shipped with brakets for like 50. Coming from the ultras, the 55s are literally night and day.
