Sucks that happened to you man. Glad you're okay. I went through my insurance (State Farm) with my new car a few years ago because the other persons insurance (USAA) was really pushing me to use inferior parts and their repair place. I paid the 500 deductible and got it back within a few weeks. Not months! Make sure they use new OEM parts. If you hear anything about CAPA parts...RUN! I would even try and raise hell if they give you used OEM parts.

Glad you're OK. I got rear-ended while turning into my development from a 35MPH speed limit street. The other company was Liberty Mutual, and the driver that rear ended me lied to the cop and the Liberty Mutual agent about what happened. She was yacking on a cell phone when she hit me and lied about that, too. The other insurance company was dicking me around, so I demanded State Farm (my insurance company) make the repair and subrogate the claim. I got my deductible back pretty quickly after State Farm's lawyers got involved.

When they check your truck make sure that they check the whole frame got tailend in 2000 I was driving a 1998 F150 Supercab the guy hit me doing 55 and I was sitting still it bent the rear section of frame and the front section of frame along with tlr hitch (which they tried to reuse) and both sides of bed (replaced whole bed) I finally got it totaled and replaced and had to sue the guys insurance for lost time at work took a good hit to neck (broke drivers seat had me laying in back of super cab) make sure everything is right before you sign any check to body shop. I took mine to another body shop and they found the bent frame under the motor.

Just picked up my 2011 Ingot silver XLT Screw 5.0 6.5' bed on Wednesday Jan. 4 and got hit Friday Jan. 6....143 miles on it! Felt like throwing up the rest of the day! I got hit in the front passenger wheel/bumper and couldn't turn passenger wheel(tie rod and other stuff bent). Been sitting outside at shop since Mon. Jan. 9 not even moved!! really want it back! Important thing is that no one was seriuosly injured...vehicles can be replaced!

Diminished value is something you definitely want to fight for. My last truck that was read-ended, I got the insurance company to give me a check for $2500.
