Default 2011 F150 -- Know where your jack is?

I can now say that I know where my jack is.

Had a flat after a big art show downtown, read the manual, looked for it, looked for it again, unloaded everything out of the back of the truck, looked again. Actually called roadside service because I couldn't find the damn thing.

Finally, FINALLY, I figured out where it was -- trust me, that manual isn't clear on the location.

If you don't know where it is, I encourage you to go look for it now -- before you have to!

Can't believe how many people can't figure this out. It's outlined very specific in the manual

Just asking ... What's not "clear" about this ...

*Excerpted from the 2011 F-150 owners manual (page 342).

Index entry ...

I read where it was in the manual, and hard to look hard to find it. It wasn't clear you had to remove the cargo tray to get at it. I thought maybe you got at it from underneath the truck just looking at the way it was setup. The manual could definitely be clearer.

I guess I can kind of see what you're saying. Step 2 says, ''remove the insert containing the easy fuel funnel...'' Maybe it should say ''insert/cargo tray.'' I still got it though.

Wow, I've seen some people post some stupid stuff on here in the past and not get slammed. I would normally let it go, but you guys are pressing my *****hole button.

No, it's NOT clear when it's pouring down rain, the entire rear seat area has to be unloaded again into the street, and there are 200 other vendors trying to load up in the dark in the same area.

So yeah, in that situation it was NOT clear if you've never looked for it.

I want to say more, but I'm going to restrain myself. Before you assume someone is an idiot, the rest of the info on the situation does come into play.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to look for mine now.

I have an 2011. I have car seats strapped in the back of my truck. I should probably pull out the jack and put it somewhere more accesible. I hate installing/removing the kids safety seats....
