yeah I have 2011 F150 Ecoboost, I bought with 30,000 never had any dealer work done to it, I changed the plugs, gapped the new ones to .029, runs great never had a issue with the motor, or any condensation issues at all, almost 60k miles and still runs like a champ, I change my own oil, keep it changed between 3-4k miles with full synthetic and still love the truck.

I love my '11 EB so far. Not bashing the Tacoma, but the EB is an improvement in just about every way. Except the no payments part, that is.

Particularly, I love how much room the back seat of the crew cab has -- more space than my GM 2500HD. The pulling power of the EB is awesome, the freeway mileage has at least met my hopes (right at 21 mpg), and the truck is otherwise nice and well thought-out. The Sync system hasn't been great, but it works even with a few bugs.

No one can promise you'll have a trouble free experience with any brand. As a non-interested party (this is my first Ford, and I probably wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the EB engine), I wouldn't have any more or less faith in a Ford or Toyota.

Hi Everyone

First, thank you for all the replies, feedback and advice.

Second, I pulled the trigger on Friday and purchased my first Ford. A 2011 F150 FX4 EcoBoost with luxury package...very happy and I can't stop driving it.

Jim

Here are the pictures of my new ride 2011 Eco Boost.

I do have some questions:

1. I have notice the power cigarette outlets stay on even after engine is off and truck is locked...why?

2. Can you swap out the factory radio and put in a factory nav one?

3. Lights stay on even after I have locked it...can I change this and how?

Thanks, Jim

Don't listen to the old cliche talk from other people. 99% of the time they wouldn't know how to change the oil but they talk like they are auto experts because they read a few reviews of someone's opinion on what's reliable. I find it funny the "import crowd" will sweep it under the rug when a Honda or Toyota have an issue, but then play Monday morning QB when a domestic has a issue. The whole "imports are better" is way overblown and like I said, a cliche these days. For the most part, any make that has issues whether Brand A to Z is an exception to the whole.

Enjoy your new truck and congrats.

(Knock on wood, hope you never have an issue. The wolves will be waiting to tell you how right they were if you do. ) lol

1) Most American vehicles behave this way. Most Japanese vehicles turn the power off.
3)What previous poster said. Scroll thru the settings on your dash display and change the delay. Lots of stuff to play with there.
