I have had this problem with my 2012 fx4 since new. Had it to the dealership 5 times and they gave me the same bull, ford knows the problem exists and are working on a fix. Yesterday I took it in and told them they either fix it or keep the son of a *****. They called me a few hours later and said they found the problem and that they had to order parts, to bring it back first thing in the morning. I took it to them at 8:00am and they called me at 11:00am and said it was ready. I had my doubts when picking it up, but it seems they fixed it. The TSB is 13-7-7. They replaced the following- driveshaft flange bolt, slinger, and rear pinion seal. I am new to this thread so still trying to figure out how everything works, so I don't know if someone has already found a fix to this problem. I hope this helps!
